Prophetic Alignment

Prophetic Alignment for This Time

More than ten years ago I did a teaching for a clergy group outlining that God was bringing a major shift.

The Saints Movement was being pioneered…

Heaven was looking for those who would be heavenly minded, set their affections on things above, and realign their priorities.

I mentioned what was then current trends that would continue:

1)  Focus will be more on kingdom growth rather than escapism…

2)  A transfer of wealth has begun for transformation of society.

3)  Prayer/Worship emphasized by Holy Spirit was bringing greater glory/ manifest presence.

4)  Opposition will increase… cosmetics come off and the spirit of religion rises.

5)  Expose sin in the Church first… emphasis on holiness and repentance…

All of this has, in fact, continued. So today I want to restate what I said back then.  It is imperative you understand the nature of the battle is over two dominions:

Matthew 11:12

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.

Kingdom advances through violent spiritual conflict.  Jesus’ reference to John equates to the confrontation of Elijah… violent opposition to human status quo.

Context: transcends the “softness” of religious formalism and exceeds the pretension of child’s play.  It refuses to “dance to the music” of society’s expectation that we provide either entertainment or dead traditionalism.

Jesus defined the “violence” of His kingdom’s expansion by “sword” and “fire.”

Matthew 10:34-39 Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ 37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39

He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

Luke 12:49-52 I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! 51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. 52

For from now on five in one house will be divided…

Kingdom is a violent tearing /division…  However, it is not physical (John 18:36) = not political provocation or armed advance.  The upheaval is the result of God’s order as He shakes relationships, households, cities, and nations by entrance of Holy Spirit’s power.

Jesus launched this kingdom when he proclaimed it was “at hand!”

Luke 16:16

The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.

Word note: Biazo means, “to press violently or force one’s way.”  Mt 11 was in passive voice but here, middle voice* means men force their way past the antagonistic efforts to enter.  (*Middle voice means you do it for yourself or not at all.)

We have crossed a threshold. There is a “fullness of time” when many promises will be apprehended and divine destiny achieved if one will “press in.”  “Kairos time” is an appointed time for heaven and earth to align.  Prophetic destiny is at hand!   Restoration is here.

What restoration means to the individual: “life.”   Restoration means replacing spiritual death with spiritual life.  David expressed it well when he said, “He restores my soul.”

What restoration means to the church: more than becoming a reproduction of the

Acts Church. It means becoming all God originally intended the church to be.

First: the church will display the kind of love Jesus demonstrated during His ministry on earth. By this love, He said, all men would know His disciples:

Second: By this love and through the full operation of the gifts and ministries God grants, the church will reach a maturity and unity that can be measured only as:

Ephesians 4:13

till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

It will become a spiritual house inhabited by a holy priesthood offering up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.  There will be a great release of His Presence in the community… Restoration will mean the greatest release of God’s power… and the world will at last see the glory of God through the restored church!

Living in testing times: Only after His test/temptation by Satan, was Jesus ready to enter His ministry of proclamation, healing, and deliverance.  Satan failed to shake Him from His obedience to the Father’s will.  He was positioned to be anointed with power to bring the King’s dominion…

Take up the same sword of the Spirit, the Word of God and pass your test!  Then you, too, will be able to enter your ministry of proclamation, healing and deliverance!

Romans 13:11-14 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its

  • Awaken from sleep
  • Lay aside the deeds of darkness
  • Put on the armor of light especially the sword of the Spirit
  • Behave properly (walking within set boundaries)
  • Be watchful for strife and jealousy
  • Put on the Lordship of Jesus Christ
  • Make no provision for the flesh

Be certain all your confrontations are with the world, the flesh, and the devil, not with God’s movement in the earth.   Any other conflicts or issues could hinder your future, so settle them quickly because everything will be getting more pronounced!

It Is time to get prophetically aligned!  Worship in spirit and truth!  The Presence of God and His Throne are at hand!

At the time I taught the above material, I had Jeff Beacham do a follow up which is inserted here.

“Prophetic Alignment for This Time” (Jeff Beacham’s Portion)

In this season we need to be aligning ourselves to the culture of the Kingdom. Western “Christian” culture and Kingdom culture are not necessarily the same!

There is a monumental clash of two Kingdoms Coming – From God’s view, there are only two kingdoms: In one, you follow Him and obey His will and ways. In the other there is only worship of self, which is in competition against God’s ways, which are selfless. (Not Dualistic).

  • Competition first originated in heaven as Lucifer decided to strive against God to become number one.

  • The same powerful spirit works in the world today seeking to cause each person or group to compete with one another to try to become number one.

  • Competition is deeply ingrained in the life patterns of Western culture. It has been revered for so long that most people think it is a very worthy ingredient of a successful life.

  • However, competition is self-seeking and involves covetousness, which leads to envy, which results in strife and wars.

The first earthly competition occurred between Cain and Abel. Cain wanted to do offerings his way, not God’s way. When Abel’s offering was accepted by God and Cain’s was not; Cain become angry and killed his brother.

  • Cain’s competition with Abel began with Cain’s competition with God concerning who was to be number one in his life.

  • Competition in our lives today begins with our competing with God for number one status.

King Nimrod, who built the original city of Babylon, was the great grandson of Noah. He departed from the faith of his fathers and tapped into the occult. (Nebo – The Babylonian god of wisdom, literature, education, arts, and science.)

  • Nimrod was the first to put competition to work within his army to train and toughen troops. He enticed and controlled men through immorality, competition, and sorcery.

  • However, competition does serve a valuable purpose in Babylonian style cultures. It balances greed and encourages quality service in cultures where businesses must compete with one another to survive.

  • In a similar way it can motivate individuals to greater performance.

  • Competition is also generally believed by many to increase production, and in the short term, it can stimulate production between individuals and groups. However, in the long range and in the

bigger picture, competition decreases production and efficiency.

  • Cooperation and collaboration will always prove to be more productive than competition in the end.

Competition is not a Kingdom of God principle. Cooperation and collaboration are the ways of His Kingdom.

  • Competition in Babylonian culture is like the law of the jungle!

  • The kingdom of God is not a competition oriented economy based on greed. The kingdom of God is a service oriented economy based on love.

  • Jesus said in Mat 22:39, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” He told the disciples to love one another as He had loved them, and that men would know they were His disciples by their love. (John 13:34-35)

  • Competition leads to unnecessary strife between individuals, families, tribes, and nations. It has its root in a fear of not having enough.

  • Whether it is not enough land, food, jobs, business, or whether it is not enough praise, acceptance, affection, love, or some other need, the fear is that I will not have enough unless I strive against you to get more.

  • A belief that there is not enough for everyone, leads to wars and strife of every kind. I must strive to get mine before you get it, or from you if you already have it.

James 4:1-2: Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask.” Faith is the fertilizer of the Kingdom of God that brings increase!

  • Competition is striving against God and against others to be in control. In the kingdom of God lifestyle there is no striving.

2 Tim 2:24-26, And a servant of the Lord must not strive but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

There is no strife or competition between individuals or groups in the Kingdom of God. Every person seeks to take care of himself and others equally.

  • In the Kingdom of God, there are no losers. Play is for fun, and work is for serving by meeting the needs of others.

  • No one must be made a mockery or ridiculed for someone else to win. Jobs and businesses meet the needs of people by providing needed products and services.

  • If a need is being met by one business, there is no need to start another one for the same purpose in the same market area. Instead, the kingdom businessman will look for another need

to meet, or assist the existing business in meeting the need at hand.

The only competition in the Kingdom of God is with the devil! Every person on earth is involved; whether they know it or not, in the great conflict between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness!

  • The only strife in the Kingdom of God is directly, or indirectly, against Satan and his kingdom of darkness.

  • There is never strife against any person. There is never competition with any person for any reason. God is no respecter of persons and everybody has the opportunity to acknowledge God and seek the Kingdom of God.

  • The way is open for everyone to come to Christ, and God is not willing that any should perish. Any person seeking the Kingdom of God must turn away from the kingdom of darkness and let go of it.

  • Repentance is not an apology; it is turning from one kingdom to another. The real sin is that we are still in love with the kingdom that crucified our Lord.

“We can forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.” – Plato

  • As the Kingdom of God is coming forth into our world, more and more people are seeing the value of living according to God’s kingdom patterns. More and more are seeking the kingdom of God, who is the true number one, rather than seeking to be number one.

“Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don’t mean to do harm — but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.” – T.S. Eliot

So, in closing this article, ask God for grace. Join His work to produce a new church order: It is time for the King’s dominion to come and His will to be done
