Planning for a Victorious 2015

Happy New Year! May you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers (3 Jn 2).

Every believer must learn to read the Word of God and pray it back to heaven. It is God’s own word, which He watches over to perform. Agree with it until it fills you and becomes the treasure in your storehouse (heart). Then, “the good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things.” This is literally, he “manufactures good things”. Out of his heart of faith, God’s words frame the picture of a future and a hope, and the believer’s faith pours the substance of things hoped for. A whole new path opens up.

James says, “No man can tame the tongue,” but also refers to bridling it. You can’t tame it yourself so you must give it to the tamer, who is the Holy Spirit. Do not try to keep it in control, or give its control to any other person, or submit it to the culture of politically correct speech. Let the Lord reign in your world by giving Him complete reign over your speech.

“In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed they shall surely assemble {referring to enemies}, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.” Now, the Lord knew some would be slow to recognize His meaning so He clarifies by explaining, “Behold, I have created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire, who brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the spoiler to destroy. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD, (Isaiah 54:14-17). (Click below to read more . . .)

The Lord has said, “Yes, plots and plans will arise against you, but know that they do not originate from Me.” The devil is not omnipotent. He is a creation, not a creator. The God you serve is the Creator Who has charge over all of His creation at all times. He says, “I do not care what plan rises against you; it is not from Me.”

Paul was quite clear on this and said, “It is a small matter to me that you should judge me.” In other words, it meant little to him to be judged and condemned by people. In everything, he would be judged and approved by God. The Church needs this mindset. Stop thinking and saying, “What did I do wrong? What have I done to bring this on me? Oh no, I’ve given the devil ground.” Listen – if a club is aimed at your head, you do not have time to figure out what you did wrong. You can repent later. I am not making light of repentance; you will have to do that, but start by knowing that if you did something wrong and adversity has arisen, God is not trying to do you in. That would be the devil that comes to rob, kill, and destroy.

He labors to take you down. What you need to do first is not to figure out what you did wrong – you need to escape! Run to God. The weapon is not sent by Him to your destruction, since you are a child of God. Crafty Satan has wiles, snares, and every possible temptation, but the good news is – not a single one of them can be used against you successfully. Not one! “No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Every tongue that rises against you in judgment {or condemnation} you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD.”

I call this the “I don’t do lose” attitude. We must repent if we’ve sinned, but God is still for us. His Word is still true. When adversity rises, know that it is inconsistent with the God Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. It didn’t originate with God, so you can be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. You can stand and see the salvation of God, because no weapon formed against you shall prosper. That is, we are not to have an “I lose” future in mind but a recognition that if I will not quit, I will not lose.

There is no more chance of defeat. “I will build My church and the gates of hell will not be able to stand against the pressure.” The only way we can be defeated is to quit. No one can snatch us out of His hand, but we can jump ship. Don’t! There is no weapon, none, that can succeed. You are in an impregnable fortress. You are in a strong tower. You are founded on something much greater than the rock of Gibraltar, the immovable and unlimited One Who, by the power at work in you, is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, beyond all you can ask or think.

1 Corinthians 15:55–57 “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.

Make a good confession: “In righteousness I am established. I am far from oppression. I shall not fear, and terror shall not come near me. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Every tongue that rises against me I shall condemn. This is my heritage. My righteousness is of God. I will not lose if I don’t quit so I will be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might as He delivers and vindicates me at every turn.”

What a difference it will make as you stop any agreement with the world, the devil, and circumstances. We are the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are the indestructible Church. We are the pillar and bulwark of truth. Truth is resting on the pillar and bulwark of the Church, and the Church is resting on Truth Himself.

You are the Church, the Bride of Christ. You are the eternal companion. Never think He has forgotten. Bless the Lord and forget not that you are forgiven, healed, crowned with love and mercies of tenderness, that your youth is renewed, and that your life is redeemed from destruction, because no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is your heritage.

Psalm 103:1–14 Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. 6 The Lord executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed. 7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. 8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. 9 He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. 10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; 12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

May yours be a year filled with wonderful works of God exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond all you would have thought!

God bless you,

Pastor Walt
