As the summer season comes to an end and autumn begins, the women at Grace and Peace begin to anticipate the start of our weekly Women's Bible Study. Fall brings many changes into our lives and schedules. We need these changes. Life keeps moving and we must move with it. Change is good. The past several years have been years of growth, both naturally and spiritually, for our Women's Ministry. We were very excited last year to move into our beautiful new Fellowship Hall, which has given us room for growth, as well as luxury and comfort. Spiritually, we have seen the women come together with a renewed sense of unity and purpose, a common love and zeal, along with a burden to pray and see change. Over the past year, we learned how to stand strong in the face of life's many challenges. This led into a season of fasting and prayer. Many women saw tremendous miracles, healings and breakthroughs. The fall also brings the season of harvest. Jesus told His disciples in John 4:35 to "look and see the fields, for they are already white for harvest." In the same chapter, Jesus told His disciples He needed to go to Samaria. A woman was sitting at a well. Jesus had a divine appointment with her. God saw the tears in her heart; she had been rejected by man and society. That day, she met ‘the man’ who knew all about her and who loved her unconditionally. We, too, must be like Jesus and "look and see" the harvest of women sitting at the wells around us. We want this year to be the year of 'The Woman at the Well.' An entire town came to Christ because of this one woman. ONE WOMAN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! We want to reach out to the many women who are still sitting at their wells waiting to meet Jesus. Are you looking at the fields? Do you see God's burden? Do you hear the cries in the hearts of the women around you? God is calling women to the forefront today, calling them to rise up and become all He has called them to be. God wants to use women to reach a lost and hurting world. Will we "look and see" that the harvest is ready? Will we prepare for it? Will we get ourselves ready for the changes it will bring? I am looking forward to another great year. TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, ONE WOMAN AT A TIME! Bible Study begins on Thursday, September 16th. We meet at 9:00 am for refreshments and fellowship followed by Bible study, worship and prayer from 9:30-11:30 am. Nursery is provided.
