A Unique Fit! I always wanted to be a cheerleader but, for whatever reason, I never officially became one. That might be one reason why I find myself making up nonsensical, whimsical songs. God has given each of us special gifts and talents, which He calls us to use to serve His Body. Somewhere along the line the idea of serving has gotten turned upside down. The world would have us believe that when we serve someone else, it is a bad thing, or it relegates us to a lower station in life. But Jesus Himself said He did not come to be served but to serve. He also told us that he who desires to become great should become a servant to all (Matthew 20 & Mark 10). |

Discover your motivational giftings! Most of us have had times in our lives when we had to face being the last one picked for the team. In Christ, we never again have to be concerned about being last or being left out. Jer. 29:11 NIV says, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” He has a plan and a place for us all. The New Testament tells us in 1 Cor. 12:27 NIV that our place is in the body of Christ, “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” The body is where He accomplishes His corporate and individual plans for each of us. |
