The purpose of the New Attenders Ministry is to ensure that all visitors are welcomed personally and warmly. We believe that this initial welcome exemplifies the Christian values and fellowship principles our church embraces. Upon leaving the Sanctuary at the end of every Sunday and Wednesday service, you will see the New Attenders Welcome podium located near the Information Counter. Behind that podium, you will see a greeter from this ministry cheerfully welcoming each person attending Grace and Peace for the first time. Our greeters encourage new attenders to fill out an information card so that we may follow up with them. They are also given a cassette tape of a sermon by Pastor Walt, a copy of our Benchmark monthly news report, and a coupon for a free beverage at the GAP Café. Ministry greeters are also available to answer any questions and encourage new attenders to come back and worship with us again. We thank the Lord not only for the fact that many do come back, but also for how quickly they get involved in the various ministries of the church.

Presently, we have 13 dedicated members serving the Lord through this ministry. Some greet at the podium and others make follow-up phone calls to each new attender, extending the church's welcome to them once again.
