In The Spotlight

As the elders at The Church of Grace and Peace, we want to acknowledge all those faithful volunteers who have been serving God through serving His Body here in our midst.

This month, I have the privilege of bringing our Head Greeter, Miriam Maldonado, to your attention. You probably have seen Miriam around the Sanctuary, but perhaps you didn’t know her name. In this sister, we have a great example of steady, faithful service with or without acknowledgement.

The Word of God says that whatever your right hand finds to do, do it with all your might. Well, that is exactly the way Miriam serves. She sprinkles her service with a tremendous dose of love and thoughtfulness.

It also says in the Word that we are to consider one another more important than ourselves, and this is another hallmark of Miriam’s service.

There is such a need for cheerful, diligent expressions of the Lord Jesus Christ in our midst. We thank God for all the volunteers who bless us by laying their lives down in service.
