In The Spotlight
It is a great joy to know people who love the Lord and willingly give of their time and talent to expand the Kingdom of God. We all have the ability to make an impact on many lives as we serve and employ our gifts to glorify God.
Donna Cobb is one of those who gives of herself unconditionally to see others served with excellence. Donna is currently the leader of the Greeter Ministry. She makes sure everyone is in place at the start of each service to greet you with a smile and a bulletin. The Greeter Ministry serves as a team and has many tasks to accomplish each time the doors of the Sanctuary open for services or conferences. Just to mention a few of the things they do – they are available at our Information Center each week to answer questions and help direct new people to Children’s Church; they help out with the communion elements every month and are there to give a hand during ministry times at the altar. Our Greeter Ministry welcomes each person who comes to The Church of Grace and Peace and is open to women and men. We appreciate each and every servant in this ministry.
Donna also helps in other areas of church life. She is part of the Women’s Ministry and serves on a committee to help with weekly meetings and special events. Donna has been a blessing to many of the women of our church who attend the Thursday morning meetings and enjoy fellowship together.
Donna is also a prayer warrior and loves to spend time in the presence of the Lord praying for the Body of Christ, as the Holy Spirit leads.
I believe the following Scripture well describes Donna’s walk in service to God: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]" (1 Cor. 15:58 AMP).
We truly thank Donna for all she does and her service of excellence and love to Jesus and the Body of Christ.
